Kwikfit is recommending Goodyear "Wrangler Ultragrip" for my 18" wheels but all the reviews I can find are for Ultragrip 8, not Wrangler Ultragrip. Anyone know if they are the same tyre, just people name them differently? Wrangler is mentioned a couple of times but only in conjunction with 4x4's so I don't want to blow £800 on the wrong tyres! The alternative is Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3, which comes highly recommended but is even more expensive.

Their system was misnaming them. They are Ultragrip Performance, not Wrangler. I guess I'll give them a shot and post whether they're any good or not.

Just bought a couple of these myself
Bring on the snow!!

Never thought I'd be hoping for snow! Let us know yow they do, even in this mild weather.

Bring on the snow so I can slide about in my Eagle F1 :D

Can't comment as I've not fitted them yet  Weather is still too warm although my current tyres are not looking too healthy.......
I think I'll be fitting them next week as I'll have worn my current ones down by another 500 miles or so
