I am wanting to buy some coilovers for my mk4 gti, does anyone recomend the coilovers off ebay ?
Thanks

I hated mine on the mk3, could not get the car level plus was very harsh and bouncy.

ive had jamex 1s on for a year no problems and the rides not bad aswell

cheers guys, think i will invest in some

my jom ones are squeaky if its cold/wet.
great for winter then
ride isn't that bad on my passat, its only marginally more bumpy than a fiesta st

For firmness go Jom, very stiff setup.
If you want improved ride but still want comfort go FK AK.
I got Joms my mate has FK AK, we fitted at the same time. Its approaching nearly two years on both setups and no problems.

you get what you pay for, you want decent set up, and a decent ride then spend £500.
if you want your car low for a cheap price then they are perfect. iv used them on vauxhalls as well and no complaints really. the ride is pretty hard and has a lot of rebound so you get that bouncy effect.
i would suggest you replace the top mounts and bearings for the sake of £20.
also you will rub on the anti roll bar if lowered to much. this can be over come by using a r32 or mk1 audi tt anti roll bar. this is best replaced by a garage due to the nature of it all. ie its a pain in the ass. then you will need some adjustable drop links £40.
i personally changed my wishbones at the same time too!
