Title: Advice on oil?

Hey guys just wondering what you recoment me to put in my 1.4se golf it does tap very slightly from cold just wondering if i put qa thicker oil in would it be better what have you guys put in part syn fully syn? make of oil? it has done 100k now but is looked after :) cheers guys

Quantum Synta 10w/40 semi synthetic from VW.

I used to use Castrol Magnatec, but it rattled like a bag of spanners. VW is cheaper (usually) and much better IMO.

10/40 semi synth will be fine
