Title: Quick help please

Hopefully this will be a quick one for someone who knows a whole lot more than me . . . .

Just brought a Jun 1988 Gti Karmann, will it be a DX engine (or something else????). If it's either or how can I tell when I pick up the car tomorrow???

dx mate it will have a metering head on rhs of engine by battery, looks like a square with fuel lines running from it to the injectors

Just check the engine number / code.
