Title: Radio arial

The radio gets sh!t signal cause the arial doesnt raise up and i cant figure out how to get at the arial. also can i change the actual type of arial?

oh and its a Golf CL

I'm guessing you have a wing mounted aerial? If so then as far as I'm aware they aren't motorized, you'll have to pull it up manually.....

aye its wing mounted but i cnt pull it out for as it goes into the holder part pretty smooth so there no gap to pick it out. if i do get it up is there any chance i can change it

I had a little key which slotted over the top of the aerial & allowed me to pull it up. You could take the wing off to fit a new one, personally I'd look out for one from a scrappy without the aerial hole & fit a glass mounted aerial instead.

If the top is smooth it might be electric.

cl one on mine a manual got a replacement from ebay but runnning a window mounted one but reception on thats not that good :( may go back to wing ariel!
wheel liner removed can get access to the ariel end but need wing off to access cable run..
