Hi,
Can anyone please give me some advice? My gti mk3 keeps cutting out. It does it when I slow down into 2nd gear to go round a corner, and also does it when I slow down to stop at a junction or in slow stop start traffic.
I have been told it could be the hall sender relay, or the crank sensor, or the air flow sensor. I have been told it may just be the throttle clogged? I dont have a clue!!
Any ideas would be muchly appreciated. Thankyou.
ps, are they easy enough to change?? .

Start with a throttle body clean, it's a highly likely culprit and is the easiest and cheapest

the relays are just push and pull.

yes, clean the throttle body, a service (plugs, leads, dizzy arm & cap), relay 30 / 167 and if that doesn't cure it - check the crank sensor wiring.
also check the engine oil breathers.
