I was charged just over 1k for a full respray. No rust on the car just a few parking dents and the usual dent on the front wing.

Under the bonnet, door shuts the lot was done. Full windows out job.

The quality aint that bad to some ive seen at the show last sunday and they have paid alot more

Need to give mine back for another 'MOP' as ive put swirl marks on it  anyway if ur near bedfordshire contact Chiltern bodyworks

EDIT:
Another company were asking for 2.5k for the same job

I had a full respray on my 1st Gti, some 9 yeras ago. I was quoted prices from £100 to over £2000. Some will say that you get what you pay for, however, some large bodyshops wil charge excessively to cover their larger overheads. If you can find a local one man operation, as I did, you may be on to a winner. I paid £140 for a full body respray and the guy did a brilliant job, I did most of the preparation work, such as, removing windows, bumpers, etc. and gave it a good rub down. I recently saw my car, some 9 years after it's paint job and it looked fine. Unfortunately, this guy is no longer in business. Perhaps he was undercharging.

Im paying around 2k which includes 2 new wings, new bonnet. About 5 dents repaired. Rear arches cut and rolled. All plastics repaired, smothed and painted. Also a few custom bits like taking the extra wiper hole off. Oh and a underbody waxoil and 4 new tyres. So far a very professional job has been done. Ive also got the odd bit of new trim to replace old broken pieces. It all adds up!
