Title: Led rears,r8 v10 and mapping
Post by: ravydav on 27 October 2011, 21:36
Proud owner of two week old(to me anyway) gti, not as quick as my old ed30(why did I ever sell it??) revo which lead my onto first question

Does anyone in Glasgow area do revo remap?, does anyone have revo remap and what like?

Wanting to get shot of twarag tail light and r lights seem just fine for me,got zenons out the front so hopefully control module is ok too code, anyone know of anyone in Glasgow with vagcom?

And lastly, has anyone seen a red gti with r8 v10 alloys?, really want them but would like to see on red car first(Ive already seen them on a white car).

Revo has a place not far from Edinburgh, also got APR and Star up Fife way. Star only do GIAC maps now. Also got Custom Code in Glasgow, had their map on my Polo and cannot fault it one bit. Is it just stage 1 you are after, if so many members on here including me had some issues with it, not sure if Revo have got the sorted now, maybe worth asking.

Yes it is just the stage one i'm looking for, only reason thinking about revo was that it was revo who kindly supplied me the extra horses on my old ed30 and could not fault it. What sort of issues have people being having with revo on the mk6?

Surging issues. Would boost on and off through the revs, it's was said it could of been caused with an induction kit fitted to it. Am sure revo would have sorted it by now. Have a look on the search, was a thread about it.

Are you typing on a phone that doesn't have any punctuation or capitals? Maybe you need a new phone.

I think it's the new Scottish language. I thought the education system in Scotland was very good ...... until now.

We are getting off subject here!!  Tried to look at gumtree but nothing came up there. I have seen the audi r8 v10 alloys on a white gti on this website but would like to see them on a red car before make any sort of purchase. does anyone know if there is a website that photo shops the wheels on to see what they look like?

Also anyone got vagcom in Glasgow area?

The R8 alloys are very similar to the wheels fitted to the Adidas Edition GTI from last year. Google for pics of red Adidas GTIs and you are there. I can't find the one that I posted up on here (on ebay) at the moment but there are definately pics floating around the internet of red ones.

Edit: found the red Adidas GTI http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-golf-gti-adidas-limited-edition-/280704335087?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item415b483cef&clk_rvr_id=248683794583&clk_rvr_id=278999249026
