Hi this is my first post to go easy on me lol
Iv just brought a 1.8 8v mk3 golf more doors it's a cracking little car,
On top of the carb there's a cap that a few pipes and tubes joining then a main pipe leading to the airbox, does that make sence?
My question is hat do all the other tubes do Exactually? I know one goes is a breather for the rocker cover, but what do the other few do?
Trouble is I want to take the whole airbox and stuff off and replace it with my own carbon creation :-)

I will go easy on you  Please use the search. this subject has been covered and recovered more times than you have wanked.
you will find it is best to keep the standard airbox.
-
Wow that's a lot! I will have a go at searching for it :-) thanks for the reply.

Look up in the info/maintanace section mate all you ever wanted to know up there!
Oh and basically the small hoses are vacuum hoses.
-
Just found some vacuum/pipe takeoffs that fit in silicone hoses from viper performance that will do the job and keep all the nessesary bits I need :-) role on argon fiber loveliness

its not a carb, its single point injection. Yes good cars, my first mk3 was a 1.8

Single point injection? Never heard of that :-s that opens up a whole can of worms now lol
