Title: Sticky starter motor

What is the best way of fixing a sticky motor? The noise it makes is getting worse and worse and im sure it will eventually stop working all together :(

alternatively, take it to a motor factors and get them to recon it!  :cool:

ive lived with this for the last 6 months cos i dont wanna risk doing it lol and had a list too long that i needed to pay for so still squarking for now :(

Piece of p#ss bud, just dont pull the motor off the brushes like I did. (that is a pita to rebuild)

Fairly local to you so I dont mind giving you a hand.

Nearly 2 years mines been squealing like a pig  :laugh: still going strong,just pisses me off  :embarassed:

pulled up in a carpark once and heard the squark but my engine was running then realised there was an identical golf behind me haha had to re start mine to make him feel less embarassed  :grin:

My starter motor has been doing that since I bought it 3 years ago  :grin:
