Has any body else had the boot not open when using the VW badge handle?
It is unlocked but takes anywhere from 1-5 goes of pulling hte handle before it opens. The key fob opens it every time.
Currently booked in for warranty inspection bust just wondering if anybody else had this?

Do you have a rear view camera?
This happened to mine once, total anomaly which thankfully has never returned.
I have the RVC in mine but don't know if that is significant or not.
-
No, just the plain boot opening - no camera.

Perhaps a weights session down the gym? :-)
At least it does go after several attempts else you'd be pulling the supermarket shopping through the hatch or folding the rear passengers down.

After unlocking, if I can't open with the handle, the boot-opener button on the key fob works every time.

That is the best excuse for swapping car, ever!

What car are you driving ?
-
'11 plate Golf Match (I know I'm on a GTi forum but you guys are the most helpful forum about).

Car has spent the day in the workshop and they have phoned to say that they have fixed the issue but that there is a bigger problem - my car crashes their diagnostic equipment every time that it is plugged in. They have never seen anything like it but cannot run diagnostics.
Bit worrying!
-
oh no, your cars caught a virus just before winter!
-
As long as it infects the dealers that is fine - they dropped it off with no working parking sensors nor cruise control.
They tell me that it was fine on the drive home and must have happened in the 5 minutes between the driver parking it on my road and me putting it in the drive.
Uh-huh.

Pick up driver arrived today to take car back in (yes, he had seen errors on screen but didn't know what they meant!!!).
We talked through the faults so that he would know what to tell the service dept and then he went to drive off. Car won't start. Dead battery. Turns over pathetically but not enough to start!!!
Good news is that this fixed the other faults.
So I appear to have a car that drives but has electrical problems or has working electrics but won't start.
An interesting combination.
