Title: flocked dash

Iv flocked my dash but maybe getting a dash out of a different car soon so thinking of putting it up for sale, I know mk3 ones don't normally go for much so just want peoples opinions on what I should ask for it, while dash is done except the dials etc

i owuld keep the flocked dash, it's much better than the standard dash, if i could, i would have a flocked dash in every one of my cars lol

Most cant even give away a Mk3 dash, so I think regardless of what it looks like, you'll be lucky to get £20 plus their standard dash for swap.

Really?? I've never had that problem, must be the cleaning products I use.

I can see it being a problem though with different manufacturers etc.

The dash reflects back on to the windscreen, essentially reducing visability. I've considered this or anything to stop the bloody thing!  :grin:

Yea I noticed you can't really sell a standard golf dash lol I did the flocking myself as was different from carbon wrapping that people were doing etc. May just chuck it on eBay in a few weeks when iv got the new dash in, see what it goes for.

Very bizarre looking, is that a stick on covering and is its sole purpose to stop reflection onto the window?

It's to stop glare from the sun and the reflection of the dash on the windscreen, it's motorsport use really, although I love the look of it personally  :cool:

And I think it's done by applying a positive charge on the flock and then a negative charge on the dashboard which is covered in glue, then the flock sticks. That's how a guy who does them said he did them anyway  :undecided:
