SPAM!

...and I quote from the T&C's

"By seeking to purchase a used vehicle valuation you agree to these terms and conditions.

Once we have received your payment a contract exists between us. We will send an e-mail confirming our receipt of payment.

The used vehicle valuation tool is intended for private non-commercial use by persons located in the UK only. Please contact us at the address below if you wish to use the used vehicle valuation tool for commercial purposes."

Addendum:  No it's not Spam.

I don't think it is actually Elvi - I think the dedicated link is promotional and thus free.  I checked the terms before clicking.  It asks for no ID and it's not saying there's a charge, but there may well be a charge in other situations.

Obviously I'll take it all back if a charge comes through the letterbox for valuing my Passat in the next couple of weeks, but I somehow doubt it will.

£2500ish on trade-in seems fair.

Wouldn't trade it in though!  Private sale all the way, especially given the time of year and the car.
