Would just like this post this really to recommend Craig and Nick at Carbon Chip Tuning :)
Got over there at 9am after a 2:30hour drive from Grimsby and was greeted by Nick, Craig turned up shortly after. Test we're done to see if my car had a locked ECU....and it didn't :D happy days! So Nick quickly got down to the mapping and it was all pretty much over in an hour, the rest of the time was spend talking really haha. I didn't ask for a Dyno before the map but had one after, my car made a healthy 182.9bhp and 320ft pound of torque which is such a difference in the torque lacking common rail engines.
Also got a subtle black Carbon Chip Tuning sticker on the boot aswell :) Motorway I managed just under 60mpg and I wasn't hanging about. Really pleased with the outcome and can't recommend these guys enough! Bit like Batman and Robin really (I'll let you figure out which is which haha)
Thanks again guys!!

Hi mate, when you say plug and play box do you mean a tuning box or one of our personal programmers?
A tuning box won't get you near the figures or drive you get from a remap but yes we sell them. Regards a personal programmer yes we can supply you with one if your car does not have tuning protection..... but your car will most likely have tuning protection so it would require us to remap it as you can't access the ECU via the OBD, the retail cost is £475 but as a forum member you get £75 off then a further £100 discount if you come to us
Our tuning boxes are £350 and personal programmers (only if you dont have a protected ECU) with the remap costs £475.
Hope that makes sense?

Have I read this right? You can come to me and remap my 2010 CR 140 for £400?

Hmmm, you may well be getting a call from me in the near future.
My brother-in-law may want his GTI fettling at the same time, so two birds etc.
Edit,
Just had a thought. How many do you think you could do in a day? We're about 2 hours with traffic from you. SY7 9QW

It depends on the cars to be honest, golfs take around 1-2 hours each.
The more cars we have to do the more staff arrive on site so in theory I'm sure I can handle as many cars as you can require mapping, also I tend to ensure its myself and Nick that arrive onsite when it's for forum members

Thanks Doc. So if I came to you it would be £300?
For plug and play I was meaning the boxes you previously supplied similar to the Bluefin set up.
Cheers.

Cool, plug and play would be £400 with the £75 discount

Think we'll give the plug and play boxes a miss after that :lipsrsealed:
