Post by: DanChave on 24 October 2011, 11:26
My starter motor has given up the ghost and there is no way in hell I want to buy a new one unless I absolutely have to! Has anyone done a guide or has any tips as how to strip it down and clean it up? i.e. what not to do, how I can tell if a part is warn etc?

Cheers guys

I've bought some high temp grease and some brake cleaner and im gonna give it a clean tomorrow. If it doesn't work out I'll give a ring round to the scrappys in my area!
