hey chaps
the 4mo may have a new set of springs on payday
my question is,if any of you have kids, how do you get on with a lowered car etc and
is it to harsh for the lil kiddys and do golfs act ok being lowered.
thinking it will be ok as my lil one is 2years old but the wife wants another :lipsrsealed:
cheers for any replys
-
mine isnt bad just speed bump an bumpy roads u notice it but dont think the kids notice
-
You're more aware of the road surface anyway when your car is lowered. My little un' has just turned 4 and the missus is 4 months gone. 4 year old thinks its funny when we go over speed bumps, but obviously will slow right down with a baby in the car anyway.
-
They should be ok  just don't go too low.
-
I wouldn't lower too much with kids as too much bumpiness makes them sick (or not sleep on long drives!)... go for coils but at a sensible height or a shock/spring kit
-
Lower it? On the Isle of Wight?
Think of the children!!
-
cheers chaps
-
thinking of eibach's were is the cheapest to get them from i wanna pay about 130 posted,
are Apex springs any good???/
-
mines on 35mm jamex springs, same road comfort as standard, just a little lower, my 7 yr old and 4 month old dont recognise the difference, neither does the gf tbh
-
I have FK Highsports on my mk2 but my 2 girls dont get in my golf any more for the simple fact they think it's funny to kick the back of the recaros from A to B.
-
Have never had no problems with mine mate and I'm down 100mm.. she happily falls asleep with no issues
-
i get on fine with having my passat on coils, and my golf4 was 35mm down on jamex.
jamex springs sucked, and even they weren't a problem
you'll have more problems with the mrs than the kid :lipsrsealed:
