6-1 well done
-
Just watched some of the game, all i can say is
-
I absolutely hate City, but got to respect a 6-1 win!
-
Still laughing my head off here..great win and well deserved too.

Its a sorry state of affairs when foreigners buy a mid table English team, throw money at em and buy success. I used to be a huge football fan but Ive really lost interest in the last few years.
Although, having said that, Man City are looking bloody good!!

F'cking hilarious, gonna have me some fun texting a few people
Especially a friend who is a glory hunting tw@t and only supports team that have the best chance of winning (which he denies, but other friends think the same). He's English 'British' and supports the All Blacks instead of then Lions, supports Man U when they're winning, Supported Ferrari & Schumi when they were winning the F1 constantly, now he never seems to watch it  and has gone on to Moto GP and supporting Rossi because he's not "The Doc" he's "The winner"

Was the situation with Chelsea really much different?

A bumming like that has been on the cards for a while, the defence and midfield has been shocking for weeks now!

(almost) nothing makes me happier than seeing man u getting spanked at home by their noisy neighbours
-
bet Fergie is gutted after resting Howard Webb for such a big game.
-
lol, love the last reply
thats what happens with arrogance, and well deserved beating, fergie just cant seem to rebuild the team of the 90s, theyre all primadonnas and i find it funny
however, with manure, the rest of the league now can expect manure to come out all guns blazing, and i still say theyll (unfortunatly) win the league

As a thirty odd year City sympathiser all I can say is it is now over 24 hours and I still can't believe it actually happened.
I'm going to have to watch the highlights again.
Even more satisfying was watching Sky's post match stuff and seeing Neville's struggle to get the words ''Manchester'' and ''City'' out of his mouth without choking!!!

another funny;
Man City fans haven't seen a win like that since they were Chelsea fans.

Brilliant. :afro:
However......
Man City fans haven't seen a win like that since they were Chelsea fans.
.....slightly unfair as I remember City going down to the 3rd tier of Englih football and they were still getting 30k+ crowds.
-
Should win everything with all the money they've thrown about.

Yes we did. Even when we was down to 10/12th in Division two we was still taking 3/4000 to every away game, getting a average of 30k at home.
End of the day, yes we have spent a lot, but so have Chelsea and Man Utd over the years. Thing is though, to compete with the likes of Utd and Chelsea we had to spend big quickly or we would never get to the top.
Look at how many teams have won the Premier League since it started in 92...just 4 teams..one being Blackburn just the once..who also spent massive back then to win it.
Also people forget about how much Utd have spent over the seasons too ;
Phil Jones 17 mil
David De Gea 19 mil
Ashley Young 17 mil
Valencia 16 mil
Smalling 10 mil
Berbatov 30 mil
Nani 13 mil
Anderson 15 mil
Haregreaves 17 mil
Carrick 18 mil
Rooney 27 mil
Saha 12 mil
Ronaldo 12 mil
Rio 27 mil ( nearly 10 years ago too )
Veron 28 mil ( 10 years ago as well )
Rudd Van N 19 mil
Even going back as far as the 98/99 season, Dwight Yorke was brought for 12 million and Japp Stam at 10 million.
Of course though, the media have you believe Utd spend nothing and win everything with young players
In total Utd have spent near on £500 million on players since the Premier League started. So yes , they also should have won all they have with that spent
Quick edit..league table of what teams have spent since 92
1 Chelsea £729,240,000
2 Man City £655,180,000
3 Liverpool £552,105,000
4 Man United £483,150,000
5 Tottenham £407,050,000

Third in the spending table and I'm still waiting for a Premiership win.
Always respected Man City due to the gates they were still getting in the lower divisions and also, they're not Man U !

Liverpool will come good. Have a good team now, still feel you need a couple more players and then you can challenge for the title again. Hope you stay at Anfield to, be a shame to leave it for a new ground. Always lifeless the new grounds.

I would be more interested to see the net spend since that period.... and what is often overlooked is the wages. :nerd:
