so i've recently acquired a Sega Mega drive II and Sonic2,
i was never allowed a mega drive as a kid, used to borrow my friends atari/mega drive when she went on holiday but that was it.
Has anyone got any suggestions on what other games to buy and where from? Is Ebay overpriced/average/underpriced?
i'm not great at sonic, but can't seem to get past the same point on level2 one player and its getting tedious! (i'm much better on 2player)
-
get road rash that is still my favourite game ever
-
golden axe and streets of rage 2 awesome!
-
got any more info on these or do i need to google?
-
Sonic is awesome. :nerd:
But, if I was going to buy a retro console. The only choice is:
N64
With:
1. Mario Kart 64
2. Goldeneye.
Without doubt the best nulti player games I have ever played.

Class, road rash was fun.
i had a fair few games, one that i remember was called, "super skid marks" was epic cows on wheels.
i know use emulators on my laptop and my phone so i get to play all the classics.
search Gensis/Gensoid/megadrive emulator on something like isohunt and then search the net for the "roms" (games)
On android you can get gensoid (megadrive) and gameboid (gameboy) for free and then download the roms.
I have gameboy,megadrive,PS1 and N64 on my laptop which means.... N64 goldeneye!

There are loads of good games for the MDII, my girls love Tazmania. I used to have the xmen and mortal kombats games as my favourites when I was a kid. Sonic3 was good too!

street fighter?

its was ported later onto the MD2, and it never felt the same as it did on the SNES

Good work Han! Just a little bit jealous.....
I can recall having a lot of fun with:
Heavy Unit
Star Control
Toe Jam and Earl
Dangerous Seed
Hellfire
Not forgetting Ghouls & Ghosts, and Golden Axe!
Happy shopping

Will have to download the emulators for the PC again, got myself a cheap USB control pad for them too
-
Car boot sales are the best for old games, get them for pennies.
Ebay can be ok, but you might find prices inflated.
There are some great MegaDrive and SNES emulators about for PC and the games (ROMS) are pretty small to download. I used to have some along with a great NeoGeo emulator.

golden axe and streets of rage 2 awesome!
