Clutch is ruined! Well slipping under load, is there anyway of adjusting it or should i invest in a new clutch?
-
I think the test is to pull off , go to third gear and boot it . If it slips then you need a new one.
-
Could try slackening the cable but chances are its on its way out.
-
I recon its on its way out! Happened once about a month ago then big time last night (was working it well hard) it was ok this morning then was crusing round milton keynes on me lunch and it started playing up again! Is the cable easy to adjust? does a little movement make a big difference?
-
Its a trickey one , how high is your biting point. It sounds like you need a new one though .
-
About top side of the middle! :-\
-
i would say new clutch then . Although i am prepared to stand corrected
-
You should have around an inch of free play, in other words you should feel very little resistance for the first inch of pedal movement. If its tight all the way then slacken the cable.......worth a go.
Top side of middle does sound quite high as if the cable wouldn't hurt to be slackened. Slackening it will lower the biting point.

Once it starts to slip i think its had it !
-
Yeah you're almost certainly right, I just thought it might be worth checking that the cable isn't holding the clutch on a tad.

cheers boys! will have a look at it when i get a chance! Working all weekend again! But still it will pay for a new clutch! :D
