can somebody tell me please how long a car battery should be on charge for? ive had it on for 2 and half hours so far

depends how flat it is ,I'd leave it all-night at least you know it will be good to go in the morning a couple of hour will not achieve much charge mate. :grin: :wink:

also make sure you take the plastic screws off so the battery as it needs to be well ventilated or the acid and water will bubble.
