Guys, when I brim the tank the needle only goes to 7/8 full.
When empty I can put in £20 and the needle doesn't budge.
Kinda annoying as I keep running dry ATM....
Anyone know how to test/fix.?

Any thoughts guys?

Sounds like the fuel sender unit in the tank is faulty.
Other members please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe its a ball ache of a job to replace as the tank needs to come off to replace the unit.
Other option is to manually work out how many miles you get to a tank. My 8v got approx 330 mile to a full tank.

I think it can be replaced from in the boot with the fuel pump, is there a way to test the sender by moving the arm or something?

Remove the plug and earth it out, if the gauge goes up then the sender is knackered.
