Title: Flat Battery - possible stereo/bluetooth cause???
Post by: JamesR27 on 21 October 2011, 21:36
Hi,

Woke up this morning to a car that would not start this morning. Lights flashing and like a firing clicking noise. Then the stereo made loads of stance noises and would not turn on again. Rang for breakdown and put a booster on the battery and it started 1st time no issues. Battery all tested healthy and alternator charging correctly with good readings.

When we 1st started the car though the bluetooth just started beeping away and the VW breakdown guy said it could be the bluetooth looking for my phone and turning the stereo on.

Has anyone heard of any issues with the stereo/bluetooth draining the battery?

James, I think it is probably a one off!
A couple of weeks ago when my phone was pairing with the RNS whilst I was reversing, I lost the Sensor Picture on the screen. Switched off, re-started and all was fine.

It mybe worth getting it VCDS scanned to see what errors are showing.
