Title: Coilover setup advice
Post by: 67buggers on 20 October 2011, 21:10
Right just brought and fitted some hot tuning coil overs.....cheap I know but I'm on a budget! They are set up at the minute with pretty much no compression on the springs and the car sits nice a low. I turned one front coil over adjuster all the way up and fully compressed the spring expecting my car to hit the deck but it ended up raising the ride height by about 40mm??? Is this right I thought it worked the other way?.....confused!

Mint, so adjusters at the bottom/ lowest point means suspension set at it's lowest ? Probably sounds a stupid question!

b.t.w it will settle in a week or two (mine went another 15mm lower!) take that into account unless you fancy adjusting them again soon!

I would set them about half way to start with, then run it for a couple of weeks, let it settle then tweak as required.
