Nope. Nothing missing, all normal, standard.
Apart from the gear knob being upside down.
Has Worzel been shaggin' Aunt Sally in your car?
-
the gear knob isn't upside down, the disc on the top is loose and spins round aha
i'm not one for cleaning the interior of a car... i don't leave rubbish in it, but you'll never catch me hoovering a car

tbh if you don't vacuum or clean the interior of your car you're far more likely to be

car's are made for driving, i must admit i do like to clean and give her a good polish every weekend if i have time, but if there's some dust or dirt on the carpets it doesn't bother me in the slightest aha

Thanks Guy.

From looking at the coin slots, you ain't cleaned that car since Britney was a virgin.
-
i've owned it for 6 months and i hoovered it roughly once to get rid of the sand from when i went to the beach with some mates

iPikey.

nothing stays clean when you live in the sticks and rag it around back roads everday

You are missing the cap that covers the screw at the back on the handbrake surround. They are a hinged part of the surround, so mostly get broken off and can't be bought separately. You can still get the whole thing from the dealers for not much loot, but if you don't hoover your car, I guess you won't be that fussed.
Ever seen How Clean Is Your House by the way?

I know what your saying Andy i always thought the same thing when you look at the console theres like a plastic lug that looks like some thing should clip onto it
-
my room is spotless! just cba hoovering my car aha as long as it looks good from the outside aha

I had the smaller 1.3 version centre console, until i upgraded, and i thought exactly the same. Got it from the scrap yard, put it in mine, had the weird extension, and took it back, put it back in the car to check, and it was the same, checked all the other GTIs and all the same. I finally realised it is there to direct the air from the heeater to the back footwells. On the smaller console, the heater channels are all blocked off, when i upgraded, i noticed all the extra channels (two on either side of the centre, and the two going under the console into the back)

btw according to ETKA the handbrake lever surround is no longer available - it was dropped without replacement in Dec 2010. Wouldn't mind a replacement for mine since the screw cover is missing (nurd!) but I was hoping to source a new one - pooh!
