You should have had it done in mirror writing.
The script's so awful it's just going to be you reading it.
I'm sure like a mother with an ugly son you will love it dearly though.
Even when you're 60 and it just looks like your chest is going mouldy.

Cheers mate
-
Doh.
-
looks trick that mate
-
sorry to break it to you mate but yours says "patras" other than that, the work looks clean but the font used, in my opinion, is sh!t, it has just taken me nearly 5 minutes to actually read what it says
-
Ohh! I can see a spelling error. :smug:
Oops!
-
jus clocked it

Apparently Patrias means native.
'the son is part of the native'

ill get it dotted so its plainer
was just stating that its a little unclear and took some time to read, somebody looking would either have to stare to read it all or would just see it as a load of squiggles

It being in a different language, means staring at it is normal unless you speak it fluently

but if you were to write it normally, as in original post, it can be read, even if not understood? it just takes a bit of reading in the font selected.

I like it.
Also.....good lower chest bud.....Put a bit on to your upper chest and traps and you will look awsome.

yeah true gotta add your own taste/style to it
yeah i would too, their might be a way you can make that 'a' look like an 'i' make the more swirls coming off and around it something along those lines

lets hope so for the OP's sake, i would say a good tattooist should be able to do it no problem, but then a good tattooist should always check and double check any spelling before inking begins?? just hope he gets it sorted

The guy shouldn't of started without correcting that. im a tattooist and i gotta admit most of the time im correcting the customers mistakes, its surprising how many people come to you with the wrong spelling specially in a different language.
The guy who done this should correct it for free, considering it defiantly needs touching up i.e the spelling mistake
-
An old friend of mine had a tattoo done in Chinese writing and a Chinese man asked if he knew what it said ? The Chinese guy informed him it said "I love beer". Luckily that's what my mate wanted. I have classy friends.
-
lol.
hurts when they go across the middle doesn't it
-
Yeah it does, booked in for the touch up in a few weeks. The design was right, didn't notice the mistake on the stencil, was probably too excited.

you dont sound too bothered mate, i'd be furious with that!
as has been said, with lettering it needs to be checked, checked and checked again before the needle goes anywhere near you!!
btw i have a few tattoos, one of which is across my chest similar to yours but mine is in english and i also have latin writing on my inner bicep and i checked the translation on every possible site so i was 100% sure what i was getting.
did you give the artist the correct spelling or did he translate it for you?

Is this a statement of fact, or couldn't you work out what the Latin word for b!tch is?
Granted its a Wikipedia entry, but entertaining none the less.
"Divi Filius" "Son of the defiled one, son of the God"
