i got a custom fit pod and nice gauges off ebay light up blue same colour as dash dont see many blue gauges, see my build thread for pics just got to wire mine up in the car now but pod all finished now i have boost gauge and voltage and pod fits really well to be honest.
-
how do i get on peoples build threads :-/ 1 thing im sh** with is computers haha!! i ended up ordering a double pod off dubba d on ebay and 2 matchin gauges volts/boost psi of mcgill motorsport just waitin on delivery of em now!! couldnt find all blue gaiges at a descent price so mine are mixed blue back lit with red digital gauges :-/ £20.00 a piece im not expecting them to even work to be honest lol but we shall see!! should hopefully be here monday the latest!! trying to scrape the pennies together for a set of coilovers!! still a lot on at the minute tho!! main being council tax  haha
-
go to dub projects then click on mk 4 projects, im the same i get my wife to do things on the computer for me or ask my eldest daughter im also crap with them to be honest, my gauges are quite nice and were £30 each put them on a battery to see how thay light up and are quite nice to be honest, will try and post pic up later of them lit up if i get a chance.

right update from the weekend fitted new lower arm was gonna just change the bush but the arm was totalled twisted bent and chewed and fell to pieces wen we took it out :-s
(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h430/vw20vtubs/edb46a0d.jpg)
-
and also my pretty gauges and pod came so now fitted!!!
drilled hole for wires and fitted pod and gauges to pillar, threaded wires through
(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h430/vw20vtubs/4cfda78d.jpg)
(wire from switch live to choc box)
fit pillar back remove fuse cover thread wires down and link all grounds into a choc box
(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h430/vw20vtubs/beb41cd0.jpg)
then run a wire from the good switch live think it was 75 (the brown wire in the pic) to a choc box to link in all lives from gauges (my gauge displays are on constant as per fitting guide)
displays then tested
(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h430/vw20vtubs/265246f8.jpg)
then mostly done other than need ground/12v/and sender wires through fire wall :-( after an hour of hunting and contemplating the drill i found this sneaky russian rubber bung on passenger side!! not good lookin in the dark!!! this was the longest part of the whole job!! finding a hole in the fire wall!!! argggg!! lol all good wen found! here it is!
under the carpet/sound deadening on pass side just to left of center console as you look at the dash and from the inside
(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h430/vw20vtubs/d9fdd158.jpg)
from the bonnet you have to lift the material up!! behind maff/tip etc i removed air box and stuff to get to it easy here it is
(http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h430/vw20vtubs/56e32a64.jpg)
no pics of sender cuz i was cold lol basically its a 12v supply ground and sender wire which all linked back to that choc box at the start
and then tee your hose into the fpr which i no need to replace the tubes as there crumbling not a bad job nothin to do with the volts gauge as its just run to a main ign live and is reading the voltage simples
-

mines been sitting on drive unloved and unused for a while now and has a flat battery, i bought some bosch super 4's so i put them in yesterday as i have a ever such a slight miss when ticking over so thought i would start with plugs first as dont know when thay were last changed and had a good look round engine and founder rocker cover bolts slighty loose so tightened them up, i was going to charge battery but go on holiday tomorrow so though waste of time really just got to wait a week now and see if its cured the slight miss hopefully so, i know what your saying about falling out of love with them but ive got plans just need to get better so i can get out there and crack on with it heres my future plans.
1) have my remote locking sorted new key and programming
2) sort out scuffs on front bumper and rear
3) colour code bumper grills
4) anniverary front lower valence
5) paint me tailgate
6) fit my sharan badge ive had for 2 months (tailgate needs painting first though)
7) cat back 3" exhaust
8) polish or paint my throttle body
9) refurb my audi winter wheels in bright green same as my engine theme
10) replace my interior handles with the plastic ones cant stand the wood
11) smooth bonnet badge cut out
will keep me busy for a while i think keep up the good work looking good.
