Someone has stolen my vdub dust caps    as you can imagine i am very upset, i loved them and now my wheels look bare without them.  I'm thinking of looking for some more but worried that they will get stolen too.  Any advice on how to prevent this or should i just buy in bulk???
As a girly girl i feel accessories are a must!!!
Thanks folks
Take care  DLxx

buy some flush valves instead
-
go find the bugger and take em back
Who ever did it wont be far away!
-
you can get some that have a little grub screw so in theory they can't be nicked.....but any fool with a small allen key can have them away as well!!!! but it might deter passing scally's!

'mini thread hijack'
gambit which flush valves have you got on your rm,s?
-
none - that german fella i was meant to buy them off wouldnt take paypal and my bank wanted to charge me for a international money transfer, so i rapped the idea
i just give the original metal ones a bit of a wire brushing instead

They still nick them even when they are the ones with grub screws. I used to have a set a set but unfortunately i parked next to a kids skate park and the bmx scum kept stealing them. I got sick of replacing them!

I have fallen victim to the same thieves, nicked my set of dust caps, and likewise I am not amused :(
-
yes i know how you feel,, i had some nice one's on mine,, but not anymore.. and they are so
easy to steal and some of them are not cheap either.

I caught some kids redhanded with mine. I was working in a petrol station at the time and he came in saying the symbol on the top was weird and did I know what it was. It was the K for my Kahn wheels. He denied it outright saying he found them on the kerb. Now why would some toerag go to the trouble of removing my valve caps and then leaving them on the kerb? anyway, I got them back and they've lived in my toolbox ever since. I put 55p plastic ones on and no one's ever nicked them

some little scrote nicked my STANDARD bee sting the other night, now this one is superglued on!!
little f**ks if i get my hands on them!

I've not got around to replacing them yet, i see it is a common problem and the only cure is to connect them to the electricity mains!!! I could get plastic ones but i thought that the VW ones were so lovely and sexy, set it off a treat..... I know that this is feminine and none of you guys will understand but its a bit like wearing nail polish, a little detail that can set off the outfit a treat!! Next time you are out on the pull boys.... take note, did she go that extra mile?

^^^ my girlfriend is a beautician and she does nails in the evenings for extra cash....i know the nail thing all too well!!! (she's bloody good mind and makes a few hundred quid a month from it!!)
