Right,
I had a leak from the rear window frame and could see that the insert had detached from the steel part of the frame pushing the seal out of alignment. I removed the window, and frame , removed the insert, cleaned it all up and bonded it back into place. The frame is stainless so no probs there.
I stapled the roof back down to the insert, tapped the staples flush and put the window back in the hope that all would now be well
So here's the problem, it leaks round the seal and the window is low, ie forms a puddle on the N/S corner of the screen.
I am guessing the following problems,
1. The arm from the parcel shelf support to the frame has bent, ( I did have to free the hinges up a lot) and is holding the corner down
2. There should be some kind of sealant in between the window rubber and the roof when I put the window back ?
Anyone had this problem ?
Oh, the steel frame it's self was square and true so I don't think it's bent frame pushing everything out ??

Yes,
you need to put a bead of sillicone around the frame opening where the material is stapled into the recess.
Also place masking tape as close to the outer rubber seal that goes over the material on the outside, lift the seal and apply under the seal as you go round, clean excess off and remove the tape.

Cheers I'll give it a go
