Title: leaking coolant flange
Post by: Cory on 18 October 2011, 11:56
ive noticed this morning, that the flange on the side of the block with the temp sender etc is leaking.
is there a gasket/seal between the flange and block? looks like theres a bit of gasket sealer on there.

so much for thinking all jobs are done for 12 months

Do a search bud its been covered many times.

Get a new one from vw or avs spares, also buy the 'o' ring and use some sealant on the thing (i used tiger seal)

Also worth changing the temp sensors if they are old along with their 'o' rings.

cool man, had a little search but didnt find anything. will have another go. temp senders and o rings got replaced about 6 months ago, so they are all fine.
