He's great at stunts, but in a rally Loeb creams over him in any surface. Mind you Loeb creams a lot of people in any surface.

There was a story in Evo magazine (I think it was Evo anyway) about a show he did at Battersy power station alongside his fellow Ford driver (forget the name). Apparently Block struggled with his WRC car to get it drifting and get around the course they had, practicing for ages and looking pretty bad. His fellow Ford rally driver on the other hand rocked up, slung it sideways and made a pretty good show of it with bugger all practice.

Block is only in WRC because he can afford it and the publicity of his name (and Gymkhana vids for those of us who cant stand stupidly sized caps) that gives the right image that Ford want, not for his (lack of) driving talent. Fair do's hes probably an alright driver and would show me the way around a race track all day and night but he just isnt world class  :embarassed:.

Who cares if hes not the best driver in Rallying, hes no longer a person, hes a label.. And it works.. People love him, they thrive off him.. Lets not forget he was a co-founder of DC shoes also.. This guy is no mug, he enjoys himself and lives life to the full...

I love his videos and I love Rob Dydrek.. They live life how it should be!!

Once you have seen the first you have seen them all. I'll watch it when I am about to chew my face off due to chronic boredom. For now I'll see how many times I can paper my eyeballs before they bleed.

+1 needs to stop dicking around with the handbrake wearing DC's and focus more on WRC.

however i suppose hes going to be getting a good wage for doing it and proberbly having fun so i can see why he does them.

Don't think he gets paid to do it, he owns DC so I think it's more about promotion more than anything. He might get paid by other sponsors for it though.

I bet most of the other driver like world champ Loeb could do the same?

Its all cut and takes not one continuous piece so..

ahh does he, never knew he owned it, thought he was just sponsored or a big share holder type thing :D suppose the promotions might bring in more money for him though...

He normally bores me, but this is his best yet! I guess the residents of Lombard Street said a big NO to him passing their windows sideways, and would have been great if he could have got across the Golden Gate Bridge... but hey
Shades of Bullitt

Different styles different types of driving. Put Kimi in a Gymkhana track and he'll go half the speed knocking down most of the bollards/walls. Put Ken Block on a circuit and Kimi will run rings around him. Both a great drivers but they just have different styles of driving and different strengths and weaknesses.

Bang on mate, for this type of driving Block is the daddy. I found this clip very entertaining even if many if you didn't.

Pah to Block, anybody can do what he does with practice, its what happens on the stages that counts and I wouldnt class him on the same continent as most rally drivers.

As for his machine, that aint no machine, these are machines:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6lgWiqjeDw&feature=g-all-a&list=PLDE148E719A9C5A7A

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA3-wXXW6ok&list=FL1i8vmW-JTdJw0uBuHOtSyA&index=9&feature=plpp_video

Well, the first one was until it killed him when he hit a wall hard . Still, they did build 2 shells and his previous judd engined e36 BMW still exists.......
