I've used ecar before and that's the cheapest I found. Most companies state u have to be 25 or over though, and I'm not sure if u have to hold your liscence for a certain amount of time too.

£20 is pretty damn cheap to be fair!

yeah it is cheap but the guy who was selling the car let the MOT run out and has declared the car SORN. Actually I checked and it is about £30 quid. I'm taking a real gamble on this car as I don't know what it will need to pass the MOT. It might be money just thrown down the toilet. But hey, if you don't take risks in life, then what's the point of living???
No tax, no MOT SORN. What a risk...

So your going to drive it with insurance but without an MOT or tax?

Big gamble to take, sorned means it should be off the road.

ummm as soon as you buy a car the SORN is not valid..I think this is so the new owner can take it for a MOT which is what I am planning to do.

Oh ok, yeah your allowed to drive it directly to a pre-booked mot

The sorn gets cancelled when it is taxed, I think your still taking a big risk.

Why? If he has insurance and is driving to a pre-booked MOT he'll be fine. He can't tax the car without a current MOT so there's no other way around it

yeah it's totally legal so there should not be a problem..otherwise all these cars would end up in the dump...it's an old banger but should pass the mot...going to risk it and take it to halford's (silly me..)
