Worth contacting Watchdog do you think? Sounds like the kind of story they enjoy getting stuck into. Esp as it's a big company like VW! They're practically admitting guilt by offering these goodwill gestures.

Worth a try, would be best if you got a list together of the guys on here who either currently have the problem or who have received good will payment in the past to sort it.
