hi
i have a 1.4 golf mk3 1997
today i got the rear door speakers out of a golf at the scrappies
i have removed the rear speaker covers in mine and cannot find the wiring (with my arm in the speaker hole)
mine does have rear looms in the doors for centeral locking but im unsure if it has the wiring for the speakers
seems wierd they would make more than 1 rear door loom

Did the car not have speakers in the rear when you got it?
Is there any screw holes around the edge where you can see if a speaker has ever been fitted there?
-
golf mk3 1.4 some base model did come with rear speakers just caps , you can take the cap off fit rear speaker and bridge the with the front speakers .

how do i bridge it, any wires in the door?
-
run some speaker wire down the floor-plan on both-sides connect to the connectors which are located in the front door rubber grommet which holds all the connections to speakers/electric wing mirrors etc.

can i not just get like new rear door looms that are equipt for them
or may mine have the wiring i just neet to get the door card off to find it
-
you could but it will be a long think as you will have to pull the stereo out as it will have to be converted from 2 channel to 4 ,much easier and quicker to bridge from the front doors .
