To be honest, i haven't got an eye for photography at all i don't think.
Every picture i have tried to take of my car, looks so bad compared to 99% of the ones on here.
Was down the beach the other day though, and got these which i was pretty happy with :smiley:

I know the light levels aren't great on the second one, but i like all the colours :rolleyes:

not bad but you need to take time over composing your shot(comes with practice)
couple of pointers i could give;
- Dont shoot from eye level, squat down to get a more intresting view.
- Get something in the foreground for example in my photo below i have used the rock/water to draw the eye into the photo.

- the second shot looks zoomed in(guessing this is either a compact or bridge camera) digital zooming isnt great on a landscape shot :wink:

landscape pictures are all in the details. Choose what is more interesting, sky or ground and have more of the interesting stuff than the boring stuff. For example if it's a clear blue sky with no clouds then have less of sky and more ground.
If the clouds are stormy and interesting then have more clouds and less ground.
The aim is not to have the horizon bang in the middle of the picture.
This is a general rule and should always be reviewed and if necessary broken.
