Saw one of each tonight, within 10 mins of each other, couldn't help but think that if VW were to resurrect the KG, like BMW did with the Mini, then maybe it would look something like the RCZ! especially the roof line, and rear 1/4

Yes, like a bloody caricature the same as the Mini and the Beetle.
It mings.

saw one of those the other day, as womanly as it is, i still think there quite nice :D
strange how the roof is suposed to create down force, weather it works or not is another question
-
no comparison...sorry...can see what you mean, but just different class
-
 it'll never happen as Karmann has recently gone titz up and Ford own Ghia, unless VW decide to call it a Carmen Gear.

Saw a matt grey RCZ today with dark wheels, looked awesome.
I really like them
-
just as a matter of interest the new series of Wheeler Dealers USA is doing a K.G. in the nxt couple
of weeks on Discovery HD

From the side the RCZ looks OK, well no it doesn't but the roof does, well, not bad.
Then as you walk round the car and see the front

They've glued what seems to be a 308 to the front. Looks cr@p, looks cheap and they could have been a bit more imaginative with the overall styling (especially the front as it really doesn't work).
From my experience with Pugs I would also expect it to fall to bits as soon as the warranty is out, more likely before.

Tbh, they are not as bad as they used to be.

You tell that to my mate with yet another sh*t 308 that's falling to bits already.
Panoramic roof with electric blinds, broken already, in fact the blind panels kept falling on his head. Needs light bulbs changing every 2-4 weeks on average front and rear, nasty knocking noises from suspension, after 35k the indicator and wiper stalks had worn out, the air filter box fell out of the engine bay whilst driving... etc etc... Ones that I've had weren't much better.

Dad has had 6 including a 308 plus many friends have them all have been faultless.
