Title: Hi all, new member!!
Post by: nickvr6 on 27 April 2005, 08:00
Hi everyone.
I am the new owner of a '97 vr6. This is my first VW and i'm well pleased although lacking in general knowledge about parts etc!!. I previously had a number of e30 B.M.W's.
The vr6 i have is a 5door in Silver with 125k and looks and drives sweet.
My first job is to raise the suspension as it has been slammed and i live in an area with shed loads of speed humps, plus it feels way too stiff for my liking.
The site looks great and i'm enjoying having a good look through .
I'll get some pics of the car up soon.
Cheers all!
Nick

Welcome to the site.  I'd say if you can live with it slammed then try as it will look cool. I've also heard from people on here that the stock VR6 suspension setup was pretty cr@p that's why most change it. Maybe you could get away with just replacing the springs to give it a slightly higher ride height. Eibach springs are probably the ones to go for.

Thanks for the welcome everyone and Gibby, thanks for the advice..
I'm looking into the Springs at the moment, it just sits too low for me so i'll look into a more subtle height. Waiting for a price to fit them as well!!.
I'll get some pics up soon so you can see how low she is!!.
Cheers
Nick.
