Cool, I've held out on my upgrade waiting for this phone assuming it to be 5 - getting it anyhow as I get a free upgrade every 12 months so I'll be getting the 5 too unless somebody else makes something that "feels" like an iPhone but without the tw8ttyness that comes with apple stuff.....
-
Have a look at the HTC's in store the Sensation range in particular, I know I keep blurting on about them but as a stock smartphone they offer a great experience
-
nope... i'll wait till 5
-
I am, but I am upgrading from my 3G which I got the week they came out. I've held out for an upgrade fro ages so seems like a sensible time to bite the bullet.
-
My upgrade is due when the 5 is due but do really want a 4s as it can be used very well with my apple tv but can't warrant spending that much money.
-
Handy upgrade for those with an iphone 4:

haha my mate is going regardless so it would require me getting up then him picking me up so i could probs sleep for 90% of it

I'm waiting for the 5 instead. It'll be coming out roughly the same time my contract is up. 4S just isn't good enough to swap a 4 for.
-
O2 are giving away free the 16Gb 4s if you sign up for their 18 or 24 month contract for £36 a month. Only for existing o2 customers and the offer ends 31 October.

Thats without data, so you would still need to add on £6 for thier middle data tarif bolt on.

So true  In Didcot there is an Orange store, it's empty. Next to it is the CarPhoneWarehouse and it's always busy  The CPW guys come up to you and chat and give you a hand, the Orange guys sit behind the desk and only talk to you if you speak to them
-
I hate carphone warehouse.. its like the PC World of the mobile phone world
Id rather be left alone, i i want help ill ask
i just deal with 02 direct..

I have never had an issue with them TBH find them very good
-
CPW guys in Didcot aren't too pushy and all you have to say is Having a look and they've let you be, though they get defensive when you know more about the phones than they do

I just walked into CPW in Warrington yesterday and upgraded, came home and spent all night shouting at ITUNES
All sorted today

Any reason not to go with orange?
Both T-mobile and orange are the only ones with coverage where I work. Vodafone is patchy at best. No coverage on O2 and the others.
-
Been with Orange for 11 years and never had a single problem with them
Found out today that as my missus works for the local council I'm entitled to 25% discount off my line rental :smug: Thank you!!
-
Cool. I placed my pre-order with orange. The boss has orange dongles at work which connect at 3G speeds. Otherwise I'd have gone for T-mobile but they used to have crap coverage as well.

yea saw all them saps queuing outside 02 at angel islington on friday, what mugs! but there you go, some peeps have a perfectly good working smart phone but fix something that isn't broken  fanbois! wtf is that all about

Why would you want to go with T mobile for an iPhone? I call them the 'watered down' network. They don't have the technology to use all the phone functions eg like conference calling. My mates have tried to get it activated and they can't do it. Never had a problem with orange either, losing calls in low reception areas was a problem, but with the use of T mobile network, it's better now. Plus the give you minutes anyway on your next bill

Orange 3G goes down from around 2pm every day without fail!!

Probably, live in Manchester city centre. Same problem for everyone I know who's on Orange as well. Sometimes I just stop getting texts/calls for a few days at a time as well.
-
Vodais the network to be on  Rarely noticed a problem.
-
We have Orange as work phones and they are truely shocking around the London area at least. My O2 phone always has signal when my Orange one doesnt, useless !!!
