Rocco all day long

Rocco all day long
Only thing that puts me off is i have to go for White or Red as ran out of allowance so metallic paint is a no no on it  there is nothing else on the list i would want to drop in exchange.

Rocco all day long
in white! mmmm Sex wee...
-
Golf
Guess to you need to decide if you want a more practical car or not

I have no kids or pets if that helps but i am 6ft 4 so worry about the Rocco a little due to my height, need to go & sit in one really
-
Rocco in white.
-
Rocco in blue.
-
Rocco purely on the basis that it looks nicer than the Golf.
-
Rocco in blue.
Cant have blue thats the point they only do 2 solid colours red or white or pay for metallic, if i choose metallic would have to lose something else off the optional extras as the personal contribution is limited.
-
Id rather have metallic paint than a flat tyre indicator.

Thats free on the Rocco .. the metallic paint is £383 i think so would have to lose the winter pack or the dynaudio pack neither of which i would want to lose
-
Rocco in white, GTD = boring
Loose the storage compartment or the 18's and slap bigger wheels on later?

storage compartment is also free ..did think the wheels could be changed later but as tyres are done as part of the lease i presume i would have to buy 18's or i wouldnt get my free tyres, i would think they might get funny if the tyres were suddenly 19's if it was ordered with 18's

Given the options you have the choice of, I'd take the Scirocco.
It's a great looking car, great to drive and the 170hp Engine is as good as it gets when it comes to offering decent pace and economy.
The Golf GTD is by no means a bad car - in fact I think very highly of it - but if you don't need the practicality of the 5 door hatch then there's not much else to gain by getting the Golf over the Scirocco.

In that case I would then say the Golf, if there is nothing on the rocco spec that you would want to get rid of. Not keen on roccos in white.
-
drove the rocco, diddnt like it. Golf all day long
-
Drove the rocco and loved it.. loved the driving position the interior.. the exterior is pure sex.. I also drove the golf gtd as i was looking at both and i chose the rocco but the finance worked out way to much for me to handle at the moment.. the rocco i recon will depreciate better than the golf as they seem to bring a new golf out all the time.. also you will be fine in the rocco with your height..
up to you really.. drive both make your opinion
-
Despite having a kid on the way and needing rear doors, I'd still rather have the rocco :afro:
-
Rocco! :smug:
do you really need Storage compartment in roof console? what is that anyway aha
-
No kids and none planned for the life of the company car - bare bones 'Rocco over the Golf (which you can have at any point in your life).
Is there any appreciable difference in the CO2 emissions and thus tax?
-
Scirocco in white !!

No they are the same engines so same emissions.
Might have to be the Rocco then as defo seems more votes for it :) just got work out the tax cost on top of the personal contribution. Got both cars saved just need to push the button when I decide, then wait for no doubt delayed delivery lol
-
I'd take the rocco every day of the week, particularly in white
-

Finally a man with sense. Ive read a thread recently where someone wants to sell their Golf and get a Tiguan because of a kid. Its a child, not a f**king giant.
Sorry, just something that really grinds my gears.
-
Rocco ordered in white 17-20 week lead time lmao   although its says delays due to dsg & dab radio neither of which i have ordered.

i have 2 kids and 1 on the way, we all fit in the golf fine. if i had the ££££'s i'd defo get a Rocco it'll be fine as long as the seat go forward to get them in the back

Friends of mine have had ONE child, so rather than just have a standard car, they bought a diesel auto GALAXY. A 7-seater FFS!!! WHY???
And I would have had the 'Rocco over the Golf, even in white. I'm not overly sold on the looks (it appears to have been sat on at the back) but I still somehow like it. The Scirocco's a bit like Flavia from Strictly - there's something not quite "right" about her, but she just oozes sex appeal

i would get out there and test drive them both if you have not... i was convinced i wanted the rocco until i drove one :lipsrsealed:

To late now order has been placed (well pretty much) i have never owned anything but Golfs in 20 odd years of driving so just fancy a change.

I would get it put on hold until you have tried both... ultimately your call but I am so glad i did, as the rocco didnt even get close to the golf (but thats just my opinion)

I would chose the Rocco then regret it forever!
Have you sat in one because they have fook all headroom or room in the back.

Not worried about the back as i don't sit there lol the head room should be ok as ordered height adjustable seats. Stop making me doubt my choice now  i didn't sleep well last night wondering if i had made the right choice.

for me it wasnt about the space in the back but the shocking levels of visibilty.. cant see anything behind you, and the view in front isnt so great either :lipsrsealed:
i hated the mirror adjustment switches which have to have been designed by someone with their hands sewn on backwards. the seats were far too firm, and the doors too big to name just a few of the issues :lipsrsealed:

good choice
despite being cheaper and better equiped than the golf.... there is a reason why you see many more golfs on the road than roccos! :lipsrsealed:

I'm perplexed as why you haven't even tried driving either car :undecided: You're going to be stuck with it for the next 3 years so surely you want to make sure its suitable
-
Im also 6'4 and i found the rocco really comfortable, probably suited my armchair driving position.
f**k worrying about people in the back, if they were that bothered they should have driven themselves!
unless theyre under 16..... then give em a quid for the bus

I am sure it will be fine performance wise both the same engines comfort wise i will find out tonight as i will go sit in one but i can't see it being a problem. I was tempted by the Golf but as i said i have always owned Golfs since i was 17 (now nearly 40) just fancied a change !
-
Well I have sat in one now found actually very comfy & vision was perfectly fine maybe different for shorter people as I have seat as far back as it goes so not as close to the windscreen. So defo happy with choice just got to wait till about Febuary now till delivery !

The Rocco is sexy, it's only let down by it's huge gaps (arch gaps).

Don't most cars have massive gaps unless they have had the suspension done or came with sports suspension. I got to admit it will bug me a little not being able to lower the suspension but hey ho can't have everything & still keeping the mk 4 in case i miss having no gaps for a day

Oops sorry, I didn't actually read the thread so didn't know you'd already chosen!
They are beautiful and white is the best colour, I'm sure you'll love it! The interior is really nice I think too if a little small

No worries , i have now sat in one & found there is plenty of space in the front. As for the back it's a coupe they are not made to have space in the back lol
