hi there just got my golf gti in for an aircon service, does any of you guys know what is involved.the reason for serviceing it is because it takes a while to cool down.taking it to audi as vw wanted £79 and audi £45 ,,,,thieving gets
-
A specialist would not be much cheaper, £45 is a good price.
-
To my knowledge they will regased it and give it a clean to make sure no bacteria as built up which can cause it to smell. Probably be pressure tested as well to make sure there are no leaks.
This is just an assumption by the way.

I had mine in at vw the other month and yeah basically regas it and clean it all out.... probably is pressure tested i guess too
-
I saw an Audi garage drop off an A6 and a TT for testing at a local tyre n MOT place the other day. Had all the Audi seat covers and two drivers with clipboards and overalls picked up whilst my bro had his puncture repaired. Might be the reason for being cheaper :lipsrsealed:

Im not even surprised at hearing that lol

guess it wouldn't hurt to ask thw stealers what's involved (if you do please update us)
If it was just a regas..... could have went to Kwik fit!
