Title: dials reading wrong
Post by: Dizzie on 19 September 2003, 00:13
when I put the white dials on I foolishly removed the needles and now I can't get them reading right. is the best way to sort this out to get another set of dials and set the car idling at say 3000rpm then swap the dials over and push the needle back on in the right place or is there an easier way to do this?

You have to remove the needles on most dial kits otherwise its a right pain in the arse. both dials have a stop poking out that the neddle rests against at rest, you should be able to get the needle just resting against it.

I'm sure this must be covered on a few of the websites out there.

trouble is where the speed needle rests on the pin is 10mph. so the speedo reads 10mph fast so it's difficult getting it in the right place.

with the revs I set it to 0rpm, but then on tick over/idle it was reading like 500rpm. a bit low i thought.

anyways. will be putting 16v clocks in soon ready for the 20v T :D
