Title: ripped off?

Ok i had an oil leak...garage charge me nr ?200 to fix it....3 days later check again....3 NEW oil leaks!!!
Garage infroms me the leaks are new!! hmmm  :-/

yeah, i don't understand this behaviour from garages.

My day time car is a Fiat (my project is a Mk2 16v). Its my 3rd new Fiat from the same garage in Epsom. Services and repairs have always been carried out by the same garage.

Yet the last service cost 500quid!? For an oil leak. And they plainly hadn't been under the car.

So the car and myself will never go back to that chain of garages.

I don't lose - but in the long run - they will.

Strange way to do business.

Did u get a invoice from them saying what parts were replaced or do u know what they replaced?  ?200 would be mostly labour, they normally charge ?40-?50 per hour.  (I normally do my own work if I can).  If u can find out what was fixed, then u can find out if the new leaks can be attributed to what was fixed, depending on where they are.

If it was from the head gasket then they replace the whole thing so if you have new ones from there then they have f**ked it up.  So take it back and have a go
