problem i have is when driving about for about 1 hour the oil red light comes up and beeps every now and then,
i have just bought a compression tester, does anyone know what the correct compression should be for my model

pick up pipe, oil pump, oil level?

What service history do you have with the car?
Is there oil in it?!!
What oil grade does it have in it?
Sounds like its not been looked after and the sump oil strainer is blocked.
Dont drive it until you have sorted it

Changing sump usually mean just changing the pickup pipe as this can get blocked.
I'd start with the pickup and fresh oil, if this fails it could be the oil pump.
Compression should be a minimum of 7Bar (103psi) according the Haynes with no more of a maximum difference off 3Bar (44psi) between cylinders

Thats alot of difference betwwen cylinders
Maybe they put too much sealant on sump and its blocked the pick up?

Check oil level.
