I heard you can reset the ECU by revving over 3,500 rpm 3 times or something. How do I do this?
Is it worth doing?
Also connected the battery to do something else on car, but while I had the airbag disconnected at the time (doh!)
How do I now reset the airbag light? :embarassed:

No, you have to run around the car three times then repeat the word reset seven times while looking into the wing mirror.
Seriously, the way to reset the ECU is to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes or so then reconnect it. Making sure that everything else is connected first.
Reseting the ECU is not "worth" doing unless you have a problem that can be solved by reseting the ECU.

Thanks, I disconnected the battery for an hour or so & when re-connected, spookily enough, nothing was different!
Will leave it overnight, I think airbag light should go off then if it resets the control box memory (hopefully) :undecided:

i thought the only thing reset by doing this was to do with fueling?
its the same as doing set basic settings with VAG-COM
and one other thing.. my car doesnt accept basic settings..
well it does.. then ignores them according to performance driven
