Hi all got a agu 1.8t with stage one if I put a 3" maf on will I see more power or not

i only asking cos my one is shot but i got one from a V5 sitting around and wondered if it would work the same if i bolted it on....  :huh:

No as the sensor works off volume travelling through it I believe, so wouldnt be right.

Blow through a straw, then blow through a drainpipe, the sensor in the drainpipe would need a lot more air to get the same reading.

So your v5 would be under reading and then ecu under fueling. Obviously when its mapped on there, they put a correction factor in for this..

I believe Dave is right, buy putting in a bigger MAF the reading will be offset causing the true reading to be incorrect
