Title: rear bumper bolts - siezed =(

i found 1 bolt that i cant undo, and theres not alot of room to pay around with. socket is just turning and rounding off the bolt head. anyone had one stuck? id usually use mole grips or impact screwdriver but theres not alot of room under there!

Yep Had this....

Heat it up and hammer on a smaller socket and use a Wrench Bar...

havent got a blow torch or anything, would a penetrating liquid work?

If you can see the thread  part of the bolt spray loads on then give it 10 mins or even go and have ya tea :wink:. After tea whack a socket on thats a bit tight with a hammer then it should come out. if you start undoing the bolt and its really tight, screw the bolt back in, spray with penetrating fluid again and try and remove the bolt

I used one of these ever so handy just to have lying around....

irwin bolt grippers ...snap it if need be then deal with it once the bumper is off

Enough to free it - but you need serious arm muscles to hold it for the time required.... :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Dont get me wrong it wont match a proper one or even a Gas Fitters one - but its better than nothing!!

there pritty damb good , ob vously a propper gas set is far better but they cost more and have bottel rental

That's what I call a Gas fitters kit...

What I have - which is much better than what I posted earlier does me fine, and it's small enough to get into the gaps when taking off a wing etc....

Another tool to add to the wanted list thoo...
