im sure it was the aum that had the recall had mine done free of charge :shocked:

had mine done at birmingham vw F.O.C last month but mines an aum :-/ plus was on the phone arguing the toss for 45 minutes!!! :-)

As per above :smiley: But I'm fairly certain it only covers the 1.8T and 2.0T engines

They should recall the window wipers ,4 hour drive in the rain on motor way and there just stuck in the middle of wind screen .I had to do 110mph just to blow the water off. :embarassed:

I sent a email to my local dealership with all my car details to see if I had a recall , but it all came back good.
Was worth a try though, maybe email your dealers too. Nothing to lose
