Title: Soundcard EQ Software
Post by: fishnchipsx2 on 03 October 2011, 14:14
Looking for a piece of standalone freeware for Windows 7 that will allow me to adjust the EQ of all sound going out through my soundcard

The standard soundcard has an inbuilt capability of sorts for this, but its not nice to use

Even just a 3-band EQ would do me fine, so I can simply change bass/treble levels for example when playing music from youtube, but haven't been able to find one that works yet!

Thanks in advance :afro:

I have decent control on mine but its because I'm running a couple of studio cards which have breakout boxes..  Did you just want better control for playing back music and video? some apps such as winamp offer fairly decent EQ..

EQ is usually only offered on Hardware that supports it, if your card offers it and you're not happy, I would say upgrade your card.

Unaware of any stand alone apps for this.

Don't Windows media player have a 10 band EQ?

I know in the K-lite codec pack there was an excellent app inside which gave you so much control over the sound...

Yeah, generaly the application playing the sound will have an EQ built in.
