FK or Jom coilovers, had jom twice now but wondered if the fk are any better or the same qaulity?
-
fk-ak street = sh!t handling.. unless you pay more for the better fk`s
-
best for money and ride comfort dont want them ridiculously stiff???
-
FK's are ok but better to pay more if you can.
-
Was only looking to spend £200 tops which would be best around that price and whcih around £300 then? Dont want a harsh ride
-
We have FK's on the Polo 6n2 and all is good..
-
Tbh if you don't want a harsh ride your better off saving longer & getting some Weitec or AP's, they're both around £400

if you dont want a harsh ride, dont bother until you've saved enough to buy something decent... i've got weitec coilover fronts and cup rears on my corrado and they're very comfortable and still a very good price

FK AK's for me, and for 210 with droplinks, cant complain
-
I can't believe someone wants to spend £200 and your all saying buy these at £400!!
Here's my bit. Jom seem to be made in the far east possibly in the same factory as the fk's (although they seem to state made in germany!) both are tuv approved, both cheap and both will be very firm (it's true you get what you pay for).
I have being looking for my rat and think I will go with the fk's (same price) as I know the brand better

FK-AK for comfort
JOM for more stiffness
Reason of how why I know this, me and a friend on here (S-l-i-x) had coilovers fitted at the same time  I went JOM, he went FK-AK. FK-AK is an improvement over stock and still retains comfort, at any point if you want to stiffen up, just lower the car  I know shocking eh?
With the same drop the JOM's are a lot harsher, personally if its a daily and you want some improvement followed by comfort FK-AK is the way to go and for around £165 I couldn't fault them.

risk it with these, came of a scrap car and he said he didnt know anything about them

or just get fk's

I went for JOMS...
By the look of your review I went for the wrong things..I wanted more comfort I went for R32 bushs.. poly dogbone mount new CV joints and JOMs (basically everything replaced)To be honest in the first few miles I was thinking this is a little too harsh but after around 500-1000miles its feels alot more settled.. maybe the shocks have lost there stiffness maybe it was the r32 bushs bedding in.But now it feels fine!
Mines not very low tho looks almost as the golf should look as standard.Doesn't have a modifed look.
So let me get this straigth we got the same wheels and same suspension.
