Title: Mk1 brake upgrades. What's available
Post by: minimat on 02 October 2011, 22:04
Well basically as title says I've got a 1.1 mk1 that's getting the 20vt treatment so obviously the brakes aren't up to it  8O

So what's people's thoughts on upgrades? The car won't be tracked, only road use so no wilwoods and 500mm discs. Just sensible brakes for everyday use.

Are gti brakes any better? Il be replacing the whole lot, callipers, pads discs and flexis so would like to keep the bits all from same car If poss. Likewise I've herd people say good things about g60 brakes. But again what's needed? Is this a bolt on swap all from same car?

Thanks in advance

Mat
