Anybody noticed the lack of coverage on mainstream news?
Been ongoing since 17th September

Yeah, a complete black out by the BBC until recently (just short of 3 weeks)
I liked it when Anonymous posted the name and address of that copper Tony Balogni that maced those girls in the face, just to let the other cops know, that if they police agressively, they can expect the same.
Maybe the british media don't want to make Cameron look bad at making decisions, by employing that New York super cop, now that New York has gone tits up full of activists.

I find it fascinating such a glaring example of the media totally controls the masses. Which in turn is run by a select few. There is no real democracy as the world is controlled by a small number of conglomerates and multi nationals.

Anyone heard about the stuff that's happening in Manchester?
-
I also read this and thought it was interesting too
“Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore. We have seen the future, and the future is ours.â€

Sir John Actons' quote is the most apt of todays scum.
"I cannot accept your canon that we are to judge Pope and King unlike other men with a favourable presumption that they did no wrong. If there is any presumption, it is the other way, against the holders of power, increasing as the power increases. Historic responsibility has to make up for the want of legal responsibility. All power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority: still more when you superadd the tendency or certainty of corruption by full authority. There is no worse heresy than that the office sanctifies the holder of it."

Well said Mr. C!

Our mainstream media is one of the most corrupt and strictly controlled in the world. They do our thinking for us. Well for most anyway!! I don't acknowledge it at all.

That's pretty eloquent. I've always liked the Bill Hicks take on it.

Its always the big companies, the leaders, the rich, someone else.
People never look at themselves and see what effect they have on their surrounds, its easier to point the finger.
We are a selfish creature and growing evermore so as we no longer need our families or communities to survive.
Our instinct to survive drives these very selfish desires we all harbour.
Its fine to applaud good speeches and wholesome rhetoric but to actualy live by it is seldom heard of.
I wonder how many people here think their children are "special" and do everything to make sure they get the best over the next mans seed?
I dont think many people have the stomach to give up what is really needed to make a difference, the well intentioned whether rich or poor are just as likley to be hippocrites as the Banker or Politician.
Any way sermon over, if you want to see news like this sooner then look further afield than the beeb. It just dont figure in our narrow field of vision rather than it being kept from us
Peace

Bill Hicks was awesome, love that guy and his humor, if only he was alive today.
The best bit was the bush jokes, even after all them years when bush junior came into power, Bills joke's still related to him, even though they where initially for his dad's generation.
Life is a roller-coaster

Thumbs up to this!! Although the world has problems with corporate greed and ruthless dictators it is us who left the door open for them to do as they see fit. Our blissful iggnorance is to blame. Our inability to educate ourselves and being content with spoon fed pointless information is to blame. Our lack of understanding of what is relevant is to blame. Change yourself, because thats all you can do. Free yourself of all hate and anger and focus your energy on doing good.

Well said VW BUSH!
Totally agree people can just be lazy, easier to blame the people that actually keep the world turning than get off their arses and do their best to change their situation.

Do think as Ghandi said words to the effect of that you need to be the change you want to see in the world. I'm getting tired of people who don't actually make or contribute anything getting rich.

I thought it was people claiming benefits that caused all the problems :lipsrsealed:

Doesn't even scratch the surface, the money they take back from us in taxes and other methods kind of cancels it that argument out. Its practically monopoly money though, it has no inherent value, real wealth is land and resources.

Apart from football status and 2 extremely high profile sides, easily outweighing the input from Lincolnshire...as could be said about their contributions to pop culture or anything vaguely useful after the use of fields for planes to land on :lipsrsealed:
